CelcomDigi unveils SafePAY Jr, a child-safe subscription bundled with Vircle Visa prepaid card

PETALING JAYA, 6 January 2026 – CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) today introduced SafePAY Jr as part of its Safety product portfolio through a collaboration with Debit Circles Sdn Bhd (“Vircle”). SafePAY Jr combines Vircle’s e-wallet with a child-safe Vircle Visa Prepaid card, offering families a simple, secure and practical way to teach kids financial responsibility while protecting them from unsafe spending. With digital monitoring and easy controls, parents can manage their children’s transactions in a secure and convenient way. This partnership reflects both companies’ shared commitment to empowering families with safe, responsible financial habits across the digital and real-life experiences.

Available exclusively to CelcomDigi Postpaid customers, SafePAY Jr can now be subscribed at a special introductory price of RM1 for the first month (RM8/month thereafter), with a one-time processing fee of RM10 upon subscription.

SafePAY Jr subscription now offers parents on CelcomDigi comprehensive financial supervision for all out-of-school spending through a single app, enabling them to manage allowances, set spending limits, approve or block spending categories, and monitor every transaction in real time. Key features include:

• Set safe boundaries from the start: Approve or block specific spending categories such as online stores or digital goods and games. Unsafe categories like liquor stores, cigar stores, dating services, gambling and vape stores are automatically blocked by default.
• Stayin control in real time: Get instant alerts whenever the card is used, with the option to freeze or unfreeze it at any time for immediate protection. If the child tries to spend in an unsafe or blocked category, the parent gets an alert too.
• Turn everyday allowances into learning moments: Assign chores, reward completed tasks, and encourage children to experience earning, saving, and practicing responsible financial habits in a safe environment.
• Help children spend safely: The card only carries preloaded funds, ensuring spending remains within the limits set by parents.
