Co-sponsors the IOT & Engineering category of one of the largest student-led intervarsity hackathon to drive new possibilities in tackling real-world issues
PETALING JAYA, 19 MARCH 2025 – CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) is co-sponsoring the Varsity Hackathon (V HACK) 2025, organised by the Computer Science Student Society of University Sains Malaysia (USM), to empower university students nationwide to innovate potential smart city and mental wellbeing solutions for society.
Sponsoring the IoT & Engineering category - one of the three category tracks to compete in – CelcomDigi encourages participants to identify concerns and innovate the best solutions related to rapid urbanisation like road safety, traffic congestion, flood and waste managements, as well as society’s overall wellbeing related to mental health.
During the hackathon, the company will provide students with industry insights, mentorship and opportunities to learn digital skills needed for the future workforce. CelcomDigi strongly believes in nurturing the next generation of tech talents and problem solvers, and empowering them to develop tech-driven solutions for a smarter, healthier and more connected society as AI and emerging technologies reshape industries and the way society lives.
V HACK, an annual flagship event of USM Computer Science Student Society, is running from 7 March to 26 April 2025. All local and international university students are encouraged to participate in this hackathon packed with engaging workshops, industry experts and exciting prizes. Submission will close at 10pm on 26 March 2025.
