October 2, 2026

Introduces campus@celcomdigi, a new model of work-based learning, alongside the Young Talent Programme and Certifications Programme

‍PETALING JAYA, 2 OCTOBER 2026 – CelcomDigi Berhad ("CelcomDigi") today announced the next chapter of CD:NXT, its flagship talent development initiative designed to cultivate Malaysia's next generation of talent through closer collaboration between academia and industry. The next phase of CD:NXT, anchored by three programmes was officiated by Director General of Ministry of Higher Education, Datuk Prof Dr. Azlinda Azman on behalf of Minister of Higher Education, Dato' Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The new campus@celcomdigi initiative is a first-of-its-kind programme in Malaysia that bridges classroom learning with industry experience to equip students with practical skills through hands-on workplace engagement. Meanwhile, CelcomDigi’s Young Talent Programme (YTP) is a structured two-year leadership and career acceleration track for high-potential graduates, designed to build critical future-ready skills. Complementing these efforts is Certifications, which provides immersive learning opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), and other emerging technologies for school and university students, as well as working professionals.

Through this ecosystem, CelcomDigi aims to meet the evolving needs of the digital economy while supporting the nation's long-term growth ambitions, in line with the aspirations of the Rancangan Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia (RPTM) 2026-2035.

Albern Murty, CelcomDigi’s Chief Executive Officer said, “We continue to engage with universities and Malaysian graduates, and our experience gives us the firm belief that Malaysia produces exceptional human capital with the right capabilities to drive the country's economic ambitions and the next wave of digitally driven economic growth. Leading Malaysian corporations have a significant role to play in partnering with the government to create an enabling environment for young Malaysians to thrive, grow, and lead the delivery of these aspirations. CD:NXT is our commitment to building that future. We continue to invest in talent today to nurture a generation of Malaysians to grow their careers, have the freedom to innovate, build character and shape the nation's future.”

Connecting Classrooms to Real-Work Experiences

What sets campus@celcomdigi apart is the way it integrates industry experience into classroom learning from an early stage. Second-year students will take on real business challenges as part of their coursework and receive ongoing mentorship from industry practitioners throughout the course of their studies. Selected final-year students will undertake industry residencies at CelcomDigi’s dedicated on-site campus at its headquarters, working alongside experienced teams and contributing to live projects as part of their final-year experience.

The initiative will launch with four university partners: Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and HELP University. Through the final-year residency programme, CelcomDigi aims to reach more than 300 students annually, with plans to progressively expand the initiative to additional universities in the coming years.

‍Developing future leaders from the start of their careers

CelcomDigi’s Young Talent Programme (YTP) was launched in 2025 to develop young talent with the skills, capabilities and mindset needed to thrive in modern organisations. The two-year programme combines rotational assignments, mentorship, and hands-on involvement in strategic business projects. Following the successful inaugural cohort, YTP recently welcomed its second batch of 20 high-potential young talents, who will embark on their career development journey across disciplines including Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & Business Analytics, Digital Product Development, and AI & Automation.

Completing the CD:NXT portfolio, Certifications further builds on the foundation of CelcomDigi Metaversity™ to expand access to emerging technology learning. Through recognised accreditation in artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR), it equips Malaysians across age groups with industry qualifications that will advance their digital skills and contribute to the country's continued growth.
