PETALING JAYA, 28 February 2025 - CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) today announced a strategic collaboration with Malaysia’s leading electric vehicle (EV) charge point operators, JomCharge and Yinson Greentech’s chargEV, to accelerate the deployment of EV charging points across the country.
Through this collaboration, CelcomDigi via its Innovation Centre, together with JomCharge and chargEV, will install over 100 EV charging points in commercial areas, including shopping malls and street locations, as well as residential areas, by the end of 2025. This initiative underscores CelcomDigi’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s EV ecosystem while delivering sustainable solutions for its customers.
CelcomDigi’s Chief Innovation Officer, Kugan Thirunavakarasu, said as the EV market in Malaysia continues to grow rapidly, the company recognises the urgent need to expand the charging infrastructure in the country and enhance accessibility to EV charging points, making it easier for Malaysians to adopt sustainable mobility solutions.

As part of this collaboration, CelcomDigi customers will enjoy RM10 discounts on charging sessions at CelcomDigi collaborated EV charging stations with JomCharge and chargEV nationwide. This offer is valid from March 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and can be redeemed through the Celcom Life and MyDigi apps at selected JomCharge and chargEV stations, encouraging greater EV adoption among Malaysians.
