Kuala Lumpur, 9 May 2025 – CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) and Selangor Red Giants OG (SRG) today announced a collaboration to promote responsible gaming habits among schoolchildren. This campaign aims to instil responsible healthy gaming habits and equip students with essential Internet safety skills, preparing them to become future-ready digital citizens.
The year-long campaign recently kicked off at Sri Emas International School in Kuala Lumpur, with over 200 students participating in an engaging, educational session. As part of this campaign, CelcomDigi and SRG will visit eight schools nationwide, delivering interactive learning modules focused on safe and responsible gaming.
Beyond building digital skills, the campaign also seeks to reassure parents and educators that students can pursue their passion for gaming while maintaining academic excellence. The programme consists of curated modules by Esports Medica, a leading medical committee dedicated exclusively to the esports and gaming community.

Participating schools will earn Experience Points (xP) based on their activities, with the top-performing school eligible for exciting rewards.

While our players can’t visit every school in Malaysia, we saw an opportunity to scale digitally. The pledge programme opens the door for any school in Malaysia to participate, promoting responsible, gaming while encouraging more parental support for esports.”
