PETALING JAYA, 12 September 2024 – The third edition of the CelcomDigi MY5G CEO Series for the year was held this week, with multi-industry leaders and decision-makers congregating to drive discussions on new opportunities made possible by the transformative power of 5G technology and its critical role in enabling enterprise-driven innovation and value creation.
Featuring speakers from global strategic partner and technology enabler, McKinsey & Company and ZTE Corporation, the roundtable session covered how 5G has successfully transformed industries worldwide, with impactful case studies from leading global companies. Examples include remote security drones reducing labour costs at airports, private 5G networks enhancing worker safety, AI-driven quality inspection at manufacturing factories, and many more.
Closer to home, leading mining company, Vale Malaysia shared insights on how implementing AI powered telematic system for its smart fleet management has successfully enhanced its operational safety, reducing the risk of major accidents.
These examples of real-world 5G applications emphasised the benefits from leveraging emerging technologies in streamlining operations, enhancing business agility, and powering digital transformation initiatives.
